Sunny Jain and Sayyam Jain are the founders of Ghar Soaps. They are step-brothers. When Sunny Jain was young, his mother passed away. His father had remarried and Sayyam was born.
Tragically after a few years, their father also passed away. Sayyam’s mom remarried and he lived and was brought up in that family.
Sunny Jain was raised by his uncle who provided money for his education and sent him to Hyderabad and Pune for studies.
Around 10 to 11 years back they met in Pune at their cousin’s wedding. Sayyam had already built a couple of successful businesses when he was in grade 11. Sadly, he was cheated on twice by his partners. Still, he overcame those setbacks and was able to run a successful business in Drop Shipping.
In a Dropshipping business model, you simply promote products and provide an online storefront. When a customer places an order, you send the order to the Dropshipper (manufacturer or supplier) and inform customers that the products are on the way. The rest of the physical fulfillment process is in the manufacturer’s or suppliers’ hands. In some dropshipping agreements, they may also handle customer service, while the dropshipping service manages the physical goods and fulfillment.
Later this stream got competitive so Sayyam let go of the fulfillment part but to date provides servicing.
Sayyam was a topper in 11th grade but intentionally failed his 12th grade because he did not want to appear for IIT entrance, it just did not interest him.
When Sayyam met his stepbrother Sunny at a wedding in Pune, Sunny talked about how his neighbor had gifted him handmade soaps and he loved the quality. This is how they came up with the idea of GHAR soap.
